Alan I. Blass, CPA, CFE, who founded AIB, has over 30 years of experience in Forensic Accounting and Litigation Support. Early in his career, Mr. Blass served as the Deputy Chief Investigative Audior for the New York City Department of Investigation, co-ordinating criminal investigations involving corrupt politicians, employees and contractors. He earned the New York City – Department of Investigation Outstanding Performance Award.
Alan is the Immediate Past President and currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of the New York City Chapter of Certified Fraud Examiners . He also currently serves as the Education Director for the South Florida Chapter of Certified Fraud Examiners.
Alan has spent the last 20 years in the private sector, including time with Kroll Associates and other prominent consulting groups, performing complex corporate and Governmental financial investigations and litigation support services involving a myraid of industries and types of businesses. He has qualified as an Expert witness at both depositions and trials in criminal and civil court.
Alan has lectured on numerous topics including, Financial Statement Fraud, Corporate Veil Piercing, Construction Disputes and Matrimonial Litigation before legal, accounting, business and Governmental organizations. He has published atricles for the New York Law Journal on topics such as “To Find a Fraud Find A Frauditor” and “Ten Common Errors in Business Valuations”.
He has been a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) since 1988 and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) since 1992.
